Hawaii Foodbank is handing out free emergency food today, good news for families on Oahu struggling to make ends meet.

• A drive-through giveaway of free emergency meal packs runs this morning at the Foodbank's Mapunapuna warehouse.
• The effort is tied to a local Rotary push to improve access to care for families in need.
• Advance registration is required, with the signup link available through organizers.

Outlook: Expect more community food distribution events as local groups continue targeting food insecurity on Oahu.
