The Hawaiian Humane Society's biggest annual fundraiser is back, and it's good news for Oahu's shelter animals and anyone looking to adopt.

• The 36th annual PetWalk happens Saturday at Kapiolani Park, with registration still open online.
• All pet adoption fees are waived for the entire weekend through the Hawaiian Humane Society.
• Money raised supports the roughly 13,000 animals the shelter takes in each year.
• The event includes a walking route, a shorter senior stroll, an agility course, and a costume contest for pets and people.
• People who can't attend can still help by volunteering, fostering, or donating supplies.

Outlook: Organizers expect a strong turnout given free adoptions and the Halloween-timed costume contest, with proceeds funding shelter operations through the coming year.
